Busy Kizzy…

Kizzy has been a busy little bee since I last posted…the usual walks of course, puppy socialisation on Thursday evening, and this evening she began Ringcraft classes.
We have decided to show Kizzy. We have never done it before so we are complete novices, but as we chose our breeder Tim’s favourite bitch from the litter [...]

Eat your crusts…

Or your tail won’t curl!
It’s quite difficult to capture a picture of Kizzy’s tail while she is alert and on the move, but I did my best this morning with my phone camera. She is developing the distinct Anatolian tail curl…quite nicely too!
These photos were taken in the local field and by the river, where [...]

Mum’s the word…

To my birth mummy, Elsa
Thank you for looking after me so well when I was a puppy, and for teaching me how to be a proper Anatolian.
I have inherited your loving temperament, your (and daddy Kadirga’s) love of chasing birds, and your travel sickness.
I thought I would miss being on the farm in Scotland, and [...]

Water lovely day…

We had beautiful weather again today so Kizzy has been out having more new experiences and making her world even bigger
According to daddy she saw, and chased,  her first bee in the garden this morning, which was quite amusing. Luckily for the bee, and of course for the environment (we need our bees!), [...]

Water puppy…

We have been having some lovely sunny days here so we have been making the most of it and taking a few trips out in the car. We have made a couple of trips to Rudyard lake, having had a walk around one of our fishing haunts close by first. Kizzy is starting to enjoy [...]

Kizzy the gentle giant…

We attended our weekly puppy socialisation class yesterday, and as usual Kizzy was impeccably behaved. She is so perfect to introduce new members to that she is now being used by the training lady as an example of how a puppy should meet and greet other dogs and humans Well done Kizzy!
She is [...]

Even roses have thorns…

Firstly, well done to Kizzy’s father, Seacop Kadirga, on coming 3rd at Crufts in the Class Open – Dog yesterday. Photos to follow when we receive them from Tim. We still have regular contact with Tim and will continue to do so for all time, it’s great to have a good rapport with our breeder [...]

A woman’s work is never done…

It’s been quite a ‘busy’ week this week with Kizzy, so much so that we’ve not really had time to post anything until now.
She had a bit of a frightening experience on Sunday when she was confronted by a chocolate lab whose owner not only didn’t attempt to put a lead on his dog, but [...]
