We will be updating regularly, and adding more information about our experience with the Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
Kizzy is our first Anatolian Shepherd Dog. These dogs originate from Turkey, and were originally bred to guard livestock. This particular type is referred to as a Kangal, or Karabash (black mask) in Turkey, and is the national dog of the country. These dogs are a rare breed in the UK at the moment and there are not many pups bred annually, in fact there are not many breeders of the Kangal at all so we feel incredibly lucky to have secured Kizzy for ourselves!
